Maire is a Secondary School librarian, former School Governor and CLP Women's officer. She has been Chair of Brighton-Hove Fabians since 2002. In 2003 Maire introduced the Fabian summer literary walk as an informal discussion format popular with new members. She chaired Labour Conference 04 fringe meeting with Peter Hain MP. BHFS enjoys steady growth of membership and increased member participation in national Fabian events. Priority: to offer support to Young Fabian activity within local society area. |
