Ed Balls launches new Fabian lecture series on education reform PDF Print E-mail

ed_balls.gifSecretary of State for Children, Schools and Families Ed Balls set out how the department's plan to raise the participation age to eighteen is essential not only to improving the life chances of young people in this country, but also to securing this country's prosperity in a more demanding and dynamic world.

Balls said: "The days where many people could leave school at sixteen without qualifications and work their way up into a fulfilling and rewarding career are behind us."

This lecture took place on Monday 5th November at 11am at the Institutre of Education in London
