Fabian Fringe at Labour Conference 2007 PDF Print E-mail

This year we ran our strongest programme of policy roundtables ever, tackling the key issues on the political agenda from housing and the Respect agenda to the environment and energy policy. Reports of the events are available online.

Our policy roundtables are the format in which we undertake substantive in-depth policy discussions, with a small group of around 20 expert participants, who debate emerging policy trends and ideas and interrogate key players in an invited forum of their peers.

We hold a programme of roundtable events during the conference season each year, supplementing our programme of high-profile political fringe events which are designed primarily for a broad generalist public audience. In addition to Whitehall policy seminars and our policy network events throughout the year, these detailed policy events help to shape and inform Fabian thinking and research. They also help us to plan future events and publications intended to reach and influence broader audiences, by enabling us to investigate how to connect current policy discussions to broader political and public objectives.

We publish reports of these roundtable events on the Fabian website.
