What is the new politics of class?

In the aftermath of the Crewe by-election and 60 years after Michael Young's famous book on meritocracy, MPs David Lammy, Jon Cruddas and David Blunkett debated the new politics of class at a Fabian event.

The discussion addressed whether meritocracy could ever be achieved and if not, whether candidates for jobs or university places could be fairly judged. Listen to our podcast for more.
