All six deputy leadership candidates will line up at a Fabian Society/Progress event on May 16.
The public will have the chance to quiz all six potential candidates, Peter Hain, Harriet Harman, Alan Johnson, Jon Cruddas, Hazel Blears and Hilary Benn all take to the stage at the Fabian hustings.
A day before the vote closes and we find out exactly which MPs have enough nominations to run for the deputy leadership, the hustings gives the public a chance to find out more about where these influential MPs stand.
The candidates will reply to questions from the audience and from chair Michael White in front of an audience of 900 at the Fabian/Progress event.
Undoubtedly the audience will want to find out more about why these six MPs feel they would make a good deputy leader and how they see the future shape of the party.
In conjunction with the event, the Fabian Society has published a book of essays written by the deputy leadership candidates called Labour's Future: The Deputy Leadership.
