The Fabian Society will hold a one day public conference in light of the US Presidential election results on 4 November. The event will be the first opportunity leading European politicians, academics and journalists will convene to discuss the implications of a Obama or McCain victory and key policy issues at the forefront of transatlantic relations including, climate change, trade, international development and security.
The full day ticketed conference will take place at Central Hall Westminster. Confirmed panelists include Ben Brandzel, former Advocacy Director, MoveOn.org and former Director of Online Engagement for John Edwards campaign; Sir Menzies Campbell MP, former leader of the Liberal Democrats; Roger Liddle, former Economic Adviser to the European Commissioner, President Jose Manuel Barroso and to Tony Blair; Dr. Timothy J. Lynch, author of 'After Bush' and Professor at the Institute for the Studies of the Americas; Catherine Fieschi, David Lammy MP; Catherine Mayer, Time; Dr. Rolf Mützenich Mdb, Member of the German Parliament; and many more.
Tickets are available for Fabian members at £10.
