The Fabian Society held a breakout session at Compass Conference 2008. The session provided conference participants with an informative and invigorating debate on some of the electoral challenges around the equality and poverty agenda.

Panelists included Rt Hon James Purnell MP, Secretary of State for Work and Pensions - Louise Bamfield, Senior Reseach Fellow Fabian Society - John Harris, Journalist and Author - Sunder Katwala, General Secretary Fabian Society - Rachel Reeves, Labour's Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Leeds West.

The event was held at the Insitute for Education in London on Saturday 14 June 2008. The Fabian Society's breakout session was held at 11:15am to 12:45pm.
