The Fabian Society has developed a series of policy networks which maintain our engagement with key policy participants and debates, through holding linked high-level seminars on key policy issues.

We believe the network model is more effective than the traditional think-tank one-off seminar, allowing for far greater development of both the ideas generated by the event and the relationships formed between participants. This ability to more fully develop analysis and discussion of key issues informs both policy debate and future Fabian activity in the relevant areas.

Each network holds five seminars a year on key policy themes and an annual dinner. The network seminars are small events with usually around 20 participants, held under Chatham House rules, so that discussion can be clearly focused and sufficiently detailed, with maximum opportunity for participation.

Each network has a number of members, both corporates and non-governmental organisations, whose support enables the Fabian Society to conduct activity in the relevant area, while parliamentarians, civil servants, academics, advisers and other relevant opinion formers are also invited to attend individual seminars where relevant.

Where appropriate, seminars inform further work by the Fabian Society in its research, events and publications programme.

For more information about Network activities and membership, please contact Jemima Olchawski, Events Director.
