Publication launch

The Fabian Society is delighted to launch our latest report, Building Skills: Tackling the Built Environment Skills Crisis.

The built environment sector is crucial to the UK economy, and to delivering on the government’s commitments to housebuilding and clean energy. But – as recent Fabian Society research has shown – the sector faces a significant and escalating skills crisis. This event will explore how we can address the skills crisis, and ensure that the sector has the skilled workers required to build and maintain the homes and infrastructure that we need.

We would like to thank the Association of Colleges, Electrical Contractors Association (ECA), JTL, and NHBC for their support in this project. In particular, a special thanks to the Joint Industry Board (JIB) for their support in delivering this event.
