Literacy today is about far more than reading and writing. In an increasingly digital world, people need the confidence, communication and critical thinking skills to succeed at work, navigate technology and participate fully in society.

As AI reshapes everyday life, improving literacy and digital skills is becoming a challenge for government, employers and communities alike.

This panel will explore what literacy means today, how we equip people to navigate a changing world, and the role workplaces, libraries and public services can play in widening opportunity.
