Fair pay and decent working conditions should not stop at Britain’s borders. Yet across global supply chains, millions of workers still face exploitation, insecurity and poor conditions.
As Labour strengthens workers’ rights at home, the government is also examining how businesses can promote responsible practice across their global supply chains.
This panel will explore how Britain can champion fair work, ethical trade and stronger workers’ rights around the world.
Speakers:
- Kirsty McNeill MP – Minister of State for International Development
- Eleanor Harrison OBE – Chief Executive Officer, Fairtrade Foundation
- Jean McLean – Chief Influencing Officer, Oxfam
- Giles Bolton – Executive Director, Ethical Trading Initiative
- Martin Kinyua – Mutrira Farmers’ Co-operative Society
- Heather Staff – Chair, Labour Campaign For International Development
