The Fabian Society is delighted to welcome Wes Streeting MP, Secretary of State for Defence, to the Festival of Ideas at Labour Party Conference.

At this moment of important renewal for the Labour Party, join Wes as he sits down with with New Statesman Political Editor, Ailbhe Rea for an in-depth conversation. Reflecting on his time in government, Wes will discuss his experiences leading the Health department and his new priorities for defence, as well as the significance of this political moment for Labour as it enters a new phase under new leadership.

Although this event is taking place outside the conference secure zone, you will still need a valid Labour Party Conference accreditation pass to access the venue. Our staff and security team will be on hand to help guide attendees on arrival.

Please also be aware that security checks may be in place when entering the venue. To help keep entry as smooth as possible, we kindly ask that you avoid bringing large bags where possible.
