Get involved
There are many ways of getting involved with the Fabian Society.
Member policy groups
Fabian Society member-led groups explore policy issues in detail. Find out more.
Local Fabian societies
Our local Fabian societies are at the heart of the Fabian Society. They provide a platform for informed debate and discussion of political issues across the UK.
Check our local societies page for details of your nearest local society and contact the local convener to find out more about getting involved.
Alternatively, if there is no local society near you, you could set one up. Please contact Hannah Kunzlik to find out more.

Elections for the executive committee
If you are a member of the Fabian Society, you can stand for election to our executive committee. The executive meets quarterly and oversees the work of the society. As a Fabian member, you will be notified of the opening of nominations for the next election. Details of current members of the executive committee can be found here.
Conduct, complaints and safeguarding
The society’s rules and by-laws state that people participating in society activities must be treated with dignity and respect at all times, free from harassment or discrimination. The society has a Code of Conduct for all members and people participating in our activities, a safeguarding policy on the protection of children and vulnerable adults, and a complaints procedure for complaints unrelated to safeguarding. If you wish to make a complaint about the conduct of a member or to express concern about the wellbing of a child or vulnerable adult involved in the society’s activities please contact the General Secretary.
