Fabian members are warmly invited to attend a Fabian Society speech by the Mayor of Greater Manchester Andy Burnham on the themes of homelessness, rough sleeping and Greater Manchester’s approach to tackling this humanitarian crisis.
Following a keynote speech a panel discussion will take place featuring the Mayor and other influential and informed voices from the sector.
“Greater Manchester is leading the way in the UK with its commitment to provide a bed plus targeted support for every person sleeping rough in the city-region, every night of the recent winter, the so-called A Bed Every Night campaign. In total more than 1,000 people have been helped off the street and 400 of those are now in receipt of more sustainable, long-term accommodation.”
