Posted by Fabian Society on Freitag, 10. November 2017

Livestream audio begins at 7.30

The Fabian Society is delighted to invite you to a special event with Gordon Brown (former prime minister) and Robert Peston (ITV’s political editor and presenter of Peston on Sunday). The face to face takes place on Friday 10 November at 11am in Westminster and will be chaired by Ria Bernard (vice-chair, Young Fabians).

The pair will be ‘in conversation’ with a Fabian audience, to celebrate the release of each of their new books – Gordon’s memoir  My Life, Our Times  and Robert’s exploration of why voters are revolting against the establishment,  WTF.

Together they will reflect on today’s tumultuous events and what they mean for the future, and on Gordon’s remarkable 40 years at the heart of public life, from New Labour’s 1997 landslide, to the 2008 global financial crisis and the historic Scottish and EU referendums.

Gordon and Robert will respond to questions from both a Facebook audience and a live audience. Both books will be on sale at the event and Gordon Brown and Robert Peston will be available to sign copies afterwards.

Online registration is not available for this event
