This Labour party conference fringe event, in partnership with Scope, explored how the UK can afford to meet the extra costs that people incur due to disability.

We were joined by: Debbie Abrahams MP (shadow minister for disabled people), Elliot Dunster (group head of policy, research and public affairs, Scope), Catherine Scarlett, chair: Andrew Harrop (general secretary, Fabian Society).

 

 

Felicity Slater

Felicity Slater joined the Fabian Society in June 2014 and led the Society’s work with partners and funders and its events programme. Previously, Felicity worked at Progress, where she delivered a number of conferences, including Progress’s first national women’s conference, and worked on the production of The Purple Book. Felicity has also worked for a Labour MP, as campaign manager for a Labour MEP candidate and at the Institute for Government.
